DIY Pinecone Garland

Hello everyone! Hope your day is blessed!
I wanted to share a pinecone garland that i recently made. Sorry i was suppose to post it before Thanksgiving but things got crazy :) I know you can all relate.
I actually thought twice about posting it because i didn't like the pictures of the overall project. The lighting wasn't all that great. I had to have the blinds closed because if i opened them, the light was way too bright and it didn't allow me to even see what the garland said so i just took them like that. Anyways i thought, "oh well, at least i'll share my idea on how to make it." So here it is.
You will need:
10- 12 pinecones
mod podge with glitter
brush
twine
red decoration balls
wooden scrabble letters (optional)
glue gun
* * * * *
First you will need to brush on some of the mod podge glitter onto the pinecones with light strokes moving up towards the top.
Once you've brushed all of them with the mod podge, set them aside and let them dry (about an hour or so.)
Once they've all dried, start wrapping the twine around the very top and adding a dash of glue to secure them.
Keep on gluing and tying.
Once you've tied all of them, grab your red mini decor balls and cut them all off. I just used 20 but that's up to you and how many pinecones you end up using for the overall project.
Now once you've cut them all off, start gluing them onto the twine in between the pinecones just like this:
You don't have to use the scrabble letters to spell out a word but it does give it a cute little touch. I spelled out, "BE THANKFUL."
And if you can notice on the first picture, i added the little green leaves that came with the red mini balls. I glued them to each end of the garland.
And that's it. Once again sorry about the pictures. I'm sure you get the idea though :)
Have a blessed Sunday...
